Questions parents ask.

Straight answers on lessons, prices and how it all works. Can’t see your question? Just ask.

I’ll ask a few questions about your child: their year, where they are with maths and what you’d like help with. Then I’ll suggest a class or a time for one-to-one. There’s no commitment until you’re happy.

Mainly Years 7 to 11, from KS3 through to GCSE. Primary (KS2) is by request, either one-to-one or in a face-to-face group for home-ed families.

One-to-one is the quickest way to close specific gaps or prepare for a big exam. Group classes suit children who are broadly on track and want steady practice and confidence. If you’re not sure, tell me about your child and I’ll recommend one.

A short task after most lessons, designed to take about 20 minutes. It shows me what has stuck before the next lesson.

A short update after one-to-one lessons, and a progress message each half-term for group classes.

Monthly in advance, on the 1st. The first lesson is paid on its own.

£35 a lesson online, or £45 in person. On the 4-a-month rule, weekly lessons are £140 a month and fortnightly £70. A fifth week is a break.

Classes run twice a week in term time. £95 every month spreads that evenly across the year, which works out at £15 a class.

By bank transfer. Payment details come with your first invoice.

For group classes, they get the notes and worksheets, with no refund. For one-to-one, give 24 hours’ notice and I’ll reschedule. If I cancel, you get a reschedule or a refund.

No. Stop any time with one month’s notice: tell me before the 1st and that month is your last.

Yes, I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and I’m happy to show it.
